July 20-24, 2026; 9am-12pm daily (3rd-5th)
Did you know that Nebraska used to be a shallow sea? And within that sea there were gigantic marine reptiles such as the Mosasaur and Plesiosaur. This camp will expolore all kinds of sea creatures that called Nebraska home millions of years ago, and marine animals that currently occupy our planet's oceans. This camp is only offered in the morning and is best suited for ages 6-8.
Day camps at Morrill Hall are hands-on, minds-on experiences where campers explore natural history topics. Each camp is led by UNSM educators, with potential opportunities to engage with our museum researchers and guest speakers.*
During each camp, participants will participate in a variety of activities, a snack will be provided, and each camper will make items they can take home. Please refer to our FAQ section and Information Packet on the website for more information.
* Researcher and guest participation based on camp topic and availability.
