Remarkable Reptiles | Thurs, OCT 15; 8am-5pm*
(6-8 year olds)
Reptiles truly are remarkable. Whether you're studying ancient marine reptiles like the Plesiosaur from the Late Triassic Period or admiring a garter snake sunning itself in the grass of your backyard. Campers will learn about the characteristics of ancient and modern reptiles and will get to explore the variety of reptiles in the museum that are local and some that are found on the other side of the world. Campers will also get to meet some live reptiles that call Nebraska home through presenters from the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission.
*Camp programming is from 9am-4pm. You may drop-off/pick-up your camper(s) within an hour before and after camp programming occurs.
During each camp, participants will participate in a variety of activities, a snack will be provided, and each camper will make items they can take home. Please refer to our FAQ section and Information Packet on the website for more information.
* Researcher and guest participation based on camp topic and researcher availability.
