Nebraska Paleontology Adventures | October 14th; *8am-5pm (ages 9-11 years old)

Did you know that Elephants, Rhinoceros, and Camels used to call Nebraska home thousands of years ago? In this Fall Break camp, campers will learn about the ancient creatures who roamed the plains, swamps, and sub-tropic habitats of our great state. Campers will get to participate in a Cenozoic fossil dig, handle and organize actual fossil specimens, and will meet with one of our on-site paleontologists. This camp is best suited for ages 9-11.

*Camp programming is from 9am-4pm. You may drop-off/pick-up your camper(s) within an hour before and after camp programming occurs.

Day camps at Morrill Hall are hands-on, minds-on experiences where campers explore natural history topics. Each camp is led by UNSM educators, with potential opportunities to engage with our museum researchers and guest speakers.*

During each camp, participants will participate in a variety of activities, a snack will be provided, and each camper will make items they can take home. Please refer to our FAQ section and Information Packet on the website for more information.

* Researcher and guest participation based on camp topic and researcher availability.

Camp Photography Policy:
The museum may take photos during the camp and activities for purposes of internal and external communications and/or promotions. A photo release statement is included with registration, allowing you to opt in or out of having your child photographed.
