COSMOS & COCKTAILS: Relationships in the Animal Kingdom

With stars in your eyes and cosmos in your hands, enjoy an adults-only (21+) night out at the museum.

Cosmos & Cocktails includes a live-narrated planetarium show, dinner, 2 drink tickets (cash bar also available), museum exploration, and some fun activities. Drink in hand, explore four floors of natural history and world cultures exhibits, including several new or recently renovated exhibits. Free parking will be available on the lot outside Morrill Hall. 

**The time selected above will be your planetarium show timeslot. Each planetarium show timeslot has a designated dining/buffet access time. All other event activities will be available from 6-9pm.**

**Museum exploration, activity stations, and bar available for everyone from 6-9pm. 

Food & Drink
An Italian dinner (self serve buffet style) will be provided, including:

• Gnocci with pesto cream and veggies
• Garden Harvest Salad w/ dressing
• Garlic bread

A full bar will be available. Each guest will receive two drink tickets (good for beer, wine, a specialty cocktail, mocktail, or pop). Two specialty drinks will be available. 

If you have any food allergies or other dietary restrictions/considerations, please note them in your registration so we can work with the caterer to accommodate your needs. Dietary accommodations can only be coordinated if noted in advance. 

Planetarium Show
Mission of Love is a live-narrated experience exploring the Voyager Interstellar Mission and the extraordinary love story that emerged behind humanity’s farthest journey.

Showtimes have limited capacity. Verify the time selected above is the time you want to book for your planetarium viewing & dining (Three dining/show options are available. All other activities and museum exploration are open the duration of the event). 

Activities:
The following are a sample of some of the activities that will be available:

• Make your own flower bouquet
• Learn a few dance steps with your sweetheart or friends from UNL's own Ballroom Dance Company
• Make a wish on an earth-bound shooting star, a meteorite with Branched Oak Observatory
• Play the mating game and learn about animal mating rituals across a variety of species in the animal kingdom
• Learn about the ancient battle to the death for a mate that resulted in the iconic UNSM fossil Clash of the Mammoths with UNSM paleontologists
• Use crafts and games to learn about the variety of insect mating behaviors with UNL entomologists
• Make origami lovebirds

Refund Policy:
Tickets are refundable up to one week prior to the event. After February 7, tickets will be transferable but not refundable.

Notice: Cosmos & Cocktails is an adults-only (21+) event with alcohol service. Age verification via ID will be conducted. Under-age participants will be denied entry without refund.
